I loved it. A franchise place has to be pretty special for it to stand out and rate five stars in my book, and this place did. Squeaky clean, well maintained, super friendly staff that makes everyone from the kids to grandparents welcome, with fresh and attractive looking salad/soup/dessert bar and menu selections even though these are standard offerings for a Big Boy. I always enjoy visiting this location and it's on my repeat list. Highly recommended.

Getting a table took a little while, but we finally got a table and service with a smile. Waitress was very helpful and friendly. Burger was delicious and kids choices were great. Dessert was awesome and love that they have a few 'mini' options.

Seated, given menu, and was forgotten about. 15-20 minutes later, no server, no water, nothing but a menu. This was about 9:00 PM Saturday. There was one other customer, two servers and two managers. No wonder they didn't have any business. No one took an order. Unreal.AVOID.

Usually Frisch's is a great place to eat. My burger was dry, how did they make a BIG BOY with no Tartar sauce? That was the whole point in going. Won't be back to that location.

Came in as soon as their rush was dying down and multiple tables were dirty. We did have quite the large party and they did accommodate very fast for us which was great. Server came over decently fast but this is where I get unhappy. Half of our party went to the breakfast bar and half ordered food! Our food took OVER 40 minutes to get. A two top after us got their food and had already left. A 7 top that easily came in 30 minutes after us got their food as soon as we did. Food is mediocre nothing to write home about. A combo for a breakfast burrito, a drink and spuds are on the menu but they “don’t do it” anymore. Not the servers fault so I do not blame her. They gave the spuds to us but they should really change the menu. Two stars because hostess was great and server was decent.

Went in today for a grilled chicken sandwich and salad bar at 11:05. Soup was barely warm on the bar. Lettuce was new but overly brown and wilted. Gross actually. Asked waitress for fresh bowl which she brought out. Grilled chicken sandwich came out so over cooked that when I took a bite, could bot even bite through it. Outside came off in one solid dry piece on both sides of it. It was also gross. My question is why should a customer have to point out the obvious about the quality if their food and ONLY THEN is it prepared and served as it should be. Not the first time I've received this level of poor quality of food but after 3 attempts to give the place a try, I'm done. Wont go back.

The place for gravy!!! I ordered a turkey dinner to go, which includes turkey, mashed potatoes and green beans. When I got it home I found no green beans and two containers of gravy. I like gravy! Now I had two gravies! Yum! Maybe I'll save one container of gravy and put it on something because two containers of gravy will go a long long way. Thanks for all the gravy!

Best Frisch's around in Mason period. Don't even waste you time going to any other one. Great food and staff. Sometimes short staffed but even then , they do the best they can.

Salad bar was nasty and I am not a picky guy. Another table next too us ordered the breakfast bad and heard him tell the waitress that it was not edible and ordered something else. Waitress was super nice though.

I had high hopes for this location after the remodel. However it was the worst service and food we have ever received there. It was seafood night but the chicken fried steak tasted like FISH because they must cook it in the same grease. The waitress literally blamed our service on it being seafood night. We waited 20 minutes just to get a junior hot fudge cake. We were not asked if everything was OK until she tried to give us the check. We were credited but we would have liked to had been able to eat something. We won't be returning. Wish I had thought to take a picture of the burnt steak!

I had issues with service and nasty people there, not employees. I am HAPPY to say that Connie was so considerate. Morning sun was in my eyes n she closed some shades. I wouldn't even complain or give it a second thought. Fast friendly service and fresh, hot food! I almost forgot how it should be or could be.Thanks Connie M, I think.

I never have like big boy because of bad food experience, but the whole crew wanted to go. Sooo yet again another bad experience with the food... I will never go to another one.. Im so sorry for the bad review but I'm not sure how I can go back 17 years later and it's still gross.. The staff as always is amazing.. Poor waitress was all but in tears. But she got a good tip and was told she wasn't the cook nor the person who come up with the recipes.. I was hoping it was gonna be a better experience but nope..

You had to order the food up front even if you are going to eat it there. They brought the food to the table. I'm not sure why they do it this way. Every other place will take your order at the table. The food and waitress was good. Looking forward to going back when this virus thing ends.

First off let me say, I love Big Boy! You got 4 stars only because our waitress was awesome! Can't remember her name but did a great job with our group (7). We all got the breakfast bar and I for one was extremely disappointed. The food quality I've cone to enjoy was not there. Not even close. Also they were low on most everything and didnt seem to be concerned about it. Now they weren't busy so I couldn't come up with any excuse for that. Also the floor was extremely greasy and my son said the restroom floor was dangerous.

Wednesday night breakfast bar. Pretty much everything had been held too long. The eggs were dry, the biscuits hard, the gravy had a skin, the cheese had a skin and was chunky. I didn't see a single person check it during our visit. It's like it was set up and just forgotten. One of the soup crocks was empty and sat drying out. Our waitress disappeared after delivering the food. Another waitress got our refills after mine had been empty over 10 minutes. They appear to be severely understaffed. The manager was wearing a drive-thru headset, waiting tables, and delivering food. Area management needs to step up and get that guy some help!

We were rudely yelled at from across the restaurant. Walked out before ordering. A couple overheard us leaving and git back in their vehicle and left as well. We won't be back. It's a shame because I used to go as a kid and it was totally different.

I drove two hours to see my grandma. She absolutely loves this place and so do I. When we arrived the service was fantastic. Super sweet waitress who even accommodated my 6month d daughter with applesauce. I definitely recommend this place! Fast, delicious food, and fantastic service.

I had the breakfast bar, most of the food had looked like it had been sitting there for awhile. Had to ask for fresh food. Biskets was very hard. Getta was very dry, eggs tasted like powdered eggs, grave was like water.

We went for the breakfast bar and half the stuff was empty. It was 12:30 and it's over at 1:00, but I feel if it's advertised until 1:00, you should be able to get the same food options through the entire thing. Almost out of bacon, out of sausage links, very few scrambled eggs, and the biscuits that remained were over cooked and hard. Our service was good, and I suspect if I had said something it would have been remedied, but time was an issue. We just wanted a quick, real breakfast.

Order was wrong and burnt. Went back through and asked for the correct order and sandwiches not burnt. Not to be!! So burnt, unable to eat them. Just gross!!!

So we stop at Frisch's in kings order a super big boy meal with fries and cottage cheese, and a sweet tea with lemon. And a plain fish sandwich.Get home and this is what was in the cup!. Called them to complain, the manager said that they need a metal cup to put their receipts in and not a drink cup! Gave us a free meal, But what the hell?

The location is clean and maintained. Staff is friendly. Breakfast buffet bar is above average in terms of quality of food. Eggs, sausage, pancakes, sausage gravy, fruit, French toast, etc are tasty and served at appropriate temperature. Cost was about $9 so a good deal. Definitely recommend if like this kind of thing.

It took a very long time to get our food. The food was good but the soup salad and fruit bar was empty and not getting refilled. The waitress was good and pleasant enough and it was not her fault it was the kitchen that failed some got there meals for free because of the wait time and some just walked out. I would have scored a 1 but the waitress was good and we did eat our food and it was good.

We waiting at the front for several minutes before being acknowledged by staff. Everyone walked by, no one said "we'll be with you in just a moment," nothing. Once we were seated, it was another 5-10 minutes before we saw our server. She took our orders. Our food came out quickly but no drinks..... We advised this new server that we still needed our drinks. Few minutes later our server was getting the drinks for the table behind us, that was seated after us. We waited for about 5 minutes before our drinks came out. That was the last we saw her.... we finished our meal, waited 5 minutes for the check.... still no server. We walked up to the front to cash out because we tired of waiting and wanted to get the heck out of there.

I love Frisch's. One of the things I really miss now that I live in NY. This one doesn't disappoint. Clean, up to date, nice new image. The staff is friendly. Salad bar etc well-stocked and fussed over to keep it neat and tidy.Seeing I was alone and carrying my laptop, the hostess went out of her way to seat me where I was kind of off to myself in a quieter area - without my even asking.Not sure what some of these reviewers are expecting. Frisch's ain't Maisonette, ya know. For what they do (and have always done), you can count on good prep and food served fresh and fast. This Frisch's doesn't disappoint

Connie our waitress was so pleasant, and helpful. The quality of the food was poor. This is the reason for the one star. Its always a shame when the service is far better than the product you have come to purchase. The servers who are working hard should be backed up with quality food coming out of the kitchen. I have worked in the food service industry, and know the most important rule, "if you wouldn't eat it don't plate it up for someone else!" I know this isn't a fine dining establishment, but no matter what we all can put Love into whatever we put our hands to.
